hi guys, just got truck back from shop. had bad tc,and pump. got that changed for 700 and still slipping under heavy accel in od. put in d and its fine. i can cruise at 70mph in od with minimal throttle and its decent at 2100 rpms. hit a hil, give it gas and it seems to slip. like it shifts down but will go to 4k if i dont lt off. he said he put 9qts in. i added 2 since it wasnt on dipstick. checked after 20 miles and was on stick barely. thinks its just low or something else? hate to get rebuilt or put in junkyard tranny. 219k miles. sai pan looked clean and minimal particals.

 

If it's slipping, it's toast.


The least likely failure in these units are the torque converter and the pump.
Think I'd find another mechanic.
