95 1500 4x4 key won't unlock door
Power locks work fine. Passenger door lock and unlocks with key. Driver door locks with power lock but won't unlock with key from outside. Meaning I have to unlock doors from passenger every day..annoying. is this a door part and something I can pick up from a junkyard? Please help. Tbankyou.

Go to your local Chevrolet dealership with your vin # and try to order the factory lock out of that truck and replace the bad one. If you can't order factory, then you will be left to order new locks altogether, which means you will have to carry around two keys, but your current problem will be solved. Let me know how it goes.

Re: Key won't unlock
I've had that same problem in MN during really cold weather. I have to "bump" the key several times for it to unlock. Everything is so stiff that the remote won't even unlock the door. After turn bumping the key a few times it persuades the lock to open.

Re: Key won't unlock
Not tapping on the key but turning it by hand. I had that same problem with my 99 Silverado. I tried WD-40 in the lock with a little luck but ended up taking it to our local dealer. They took the inside panel off the door and sprayed everything down inside along with the lock again. The remote still won't open it on very cold days but at least the key will open it with turning pressure on the key back and forth. Once the weather warms up the door works great. The dealership told me that it's just old and that the cold weather will make it not open properly. He said the only real solution would be new locks and remote actuators as everything is wearing out. One other thing I just thought of. When you open the driver's door from the inside is the unlocking button sort of hard to push forward, or backward to lock it, after you get in the truck? That would indicate sticky, dirty, gummy or worn out as with mine.
