silverado08, where do I locate the actuator, I have heard this possibility before, but have no idea where to locate it...

nauticstar87, you don't feel anything when you move the shift lever into any of the 4 wd ranges....

Cool

Hi Lostkat7,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

I'm just going to assume nothing here, are you aware that to shift into 4LO you have to put the transmission in Neutral first?

well he says he feels nothing.. when u put my truck into 4wd.. it takes a little force.. its not easy but its not hard. and everynow and then i dont do it fast enuff and i grind a gear in the t-case.. so if you dont feel anything when u shift it into 4wd.... bad t-case maybe? put it in 4wd and go under neath the truck.. grab the front driveshaft and rotate it..if it turns thats bad.

the actuator is located above the front skid plate by the differential. if you feel nothing at all when u shift into 4low then it would be a transfercase prob like Gotstylez said.
You might want to make sure the linkage from the pole to the transfercase is there.
