starts when i prime it so i put in a new fuel pump and filter, tested it and its working but still wont start unless i prime it then it starts for about 10 seconds. this is my 4th fuel pump, 1st filter and usually starts right up. its a 5.7 2 wheel drive with 270,000 miles on her. do the injectors have a fuse?

i havent checked the pressure its a new pump but that could be the problem, i spoke to this guy last night thats a car genius and he said on the fuel pump theres a small black hose and my new pump came with one but i didnt replace mine says they crack alot and im losing pressure and theres a oil pressure senser that when it goes out it shuts down the fuel pump. the pump will work for a second and stop. i bet that line is cracked. im gonna stick a syphon hose in my tank and listen and see if i hear a leak. thnx for the resonse.
