Default 97 k1500 electrical problems

i recently bought a 97 chevy k1500. and there seems to be alot of electrical problems. two fuses are blown. fuse 9 ( i believe to be the parking lamps fuse ) and fuse 16 (which seems to go to many places ). i have checked both of them with the power probe, and found a couple reasons for shorts. i cut the trailer plug off. it was trash. pulled out the brake swich from under dash ( when i apply the brakes, the brakes are only lit for about an inch of pressure on the pedal. then the lights turn off ) and gave fuse 16 power. one of the under dash relays were acting up so i pulled it out. and there still seems to be a short somewhere in 16. any suggestions on where to look? i have already changed all blown lights.
