Have a 98 chevy, 5.7L that is throwing P0302 code, cyl 2 misfire. I have swapped spark plugs, and wires with #4 cyl to narrow it down, code comes back for #2 cyl. Replaced cap and rotor, still throws code. It idles rough and remains rough to about 2500 rpm, anything above that it seems to clear up. Checked for spark on #2 with a timing light, seems to give consistent spark with a few extra quick sparks in the mix, sort of a flutter. Tested this on #1 cyl to compare, #1 stats consistent all the time.
So I guess I'm asking if someone has seen this or knows someone who has.
