I am assembling my freshly remaned 350 vortec and want to replace the old injectors. Whats the benifits of this new MPI injection ive heard about? Is it worth the money to upgrade? I found this set up on Amazon -Delphi FJ10566 Fuel Injector $271. Is this a good one to go with?

 

1-the poppets can stick closed causing a missfire on that cyl(mine jammed closed causing a dead cyl)

2-they stick open causing missfires and poor running

3-the old regulator can leak dumping fuel into#5 and#7 more running problems

4-they can intermitantly stick causing misfire to come and go

5-mine ran smoother

6-it will give you problem in the middle of winter (thats my luck)

hang the old one on the wall and wonder what the F@#$ was GM thinking

 

I have a 96 with sticking poppet valves. MMO in the gas helps but I will upgrade. If you are assembeling a new engine do yourself a favor and upgrade from the start.

i thought MFI,MPI,SCFI,MPFI were just different terms used for the same thing? the upgrade injector design doesn't change the name or term...

 

So many names to confuse us. Hope they used the money that they earned "well" back then. Idiot engineers.
