i have a 99 silverado with a v6 vortec motor and recently put in a 2001 5.3 v8 in it. i used the same harness form the truck i got the motor out of and the pcm also. my truck turns on and dies immediately. the only way it stays on is with starting fluid. i bought another pcm and it did the same thing also my mileage doesnt show any more.
