My 99 Silverado is experiencing a problem with the ignition or at least I think so. The situation is that sometimes when I turn the key nothing happens except all of the electronics work. It just will not turn over or engage the starter at all. After awhile for whatever reason, it works just fine. I have been told that maybe the ignition control located somewhere under the dash is going bad. ANyone please help!

i had a problem like that once...make sure you battery is ok...even the cells in the battery may not be working and you cant tell.

 

I had that same problem with my '99 aswel... I sold it and the kid that bought it said he found a pin hole in the injectors and he replaced it and it has not happened sense....

Curious ... how a pin hole in an injector would prevent the starter from engaging ?
