99 Silverado 5.7L 300K

Cam advance reads 22-26 at idle, around 30 when you rev it up
Check engine light still off

used some kind of equus innova scanner, that would not display cam retard, but displayed some kind of advance, either it was cam advance or spark advance

are these 20s normal, and is this advance referring to opposite direction as cam retard ?

 

I guess that's spark advance. Idk bout the 5.7 but on my 5.3 stock spark advance was like 18 at idle. Had it tuned and now it's at 26 at idle. Sounds high to me but idk bout the 5.7

 

Cam retard spec is 0 + or- 2 anything else os wrong. Not sure that you are looking at correct thing. I have never seen it called anything other that cam retard.
