yes it was brand new, with new internals. new ignition module rotor and cap. I'm close I can feel it. It ran great the other day, then started crappin out again. Been too busy to try anything else. I drive a Honda civic as my commuter car and it just keeps on runnin and I only have time on my days off to spend time on the chev so.. I'm thankful for any suggestions at this point. The 350 will run again! My first car was a 1983 Chevrolet caprice "classic" I paid $400 for it and it ran for 5 years with nothing but oil changes, I have confidence in older chev's, I'm just trying to be patient. (after all with the money ive spent on this son of a biscuit it ain't f'n going nowhere!)

Finally got it figured out.. The vacuum line that goes from the back of the throttle body to the Map sensor was disconnected. Go figure, something so simple. The trucks been running great and hope it continues to. Thanks for all the help and ideas, hope this thread can help someone down the road.
