I have a 2004 Chevrolet Z71 4x4 Extended Cab. I want to stiffen up the suspension for towing my 18ft Crestliner and ATV. I want to know if the frame is different between a Silverado and my 1500 Silverado? The reason is I purchased the LOAD LIFTER 5000 by Air Lift and it says not recommended for the Silverado. I believe it is only because the Load Lifter 5000 will allow a person to haul that much weight and the truck is not rated for that. I don’t plan to haul that I will stay with in the 2000lb rate ( as per the Air Lift for my truck). I did not purchase the Ride levelers for the 1/2 ton because they looked weak? So in the end the question is there a frame size difference between the Silverado HD and the 150 Z71 Silverado? The LOAD LIFTR are fr a Silverado HD. I find ithard to believe no one on this forum can nswer this question. Can any one help me out?

 

Take a look at the frame of a 2500HD and you will see it is a lot heavier then the 1500, it is very easy to see the difference in them. All you have to do it look at it in the rear wheel well. I have had a 2500HD and currently have a 1500.
