Default battery wont hold a charge

the battery in my 97 wont hold a charge i have to jump it and it may hold for the day but wont hold through the night think its the battery thats bad or something with the truck

#1 take the truck to Kragen (or maybe 1 of the other main auto part stores)
and tell them you are having charging issues and they have a tool they hook
up to your battery that will test the alternator and battery and tell you what
is not doing it's job.

#2 find out what the output voltage of the alternator is supposed to be
then put a multimeter up to it and test the output voltage.
If the voltage is at least what the alternator is rated for than the battery
is likely the problem.

i have the same year truck, same problem. What type is your truck?
i made mine hold a longer charge by trickle charging it for a day and readjusting the wire position.
