I have a 2008 Silverado and I need to get a blank valet key. I do not need a transponder key. Where do I get one?

If you want a key to open doors you can get one with out transponder ( no circled plus symbol on key).
If you want one to start vehicle then you need one with with the transponder (circled plus symbol). Easy to program as long as you have one working key.

 

like charlie said.....if you need the transponder you need to visit the dealer....don't get them to charge you for programming as its only a matter of turning on 1 good key, then turning on the second key. If you don't need the transponder try a local hardware store

 

Many locksmiths will have transponder keys. Also look on ebay. As stated previously, you can program these yourself as long as you have a working key.

 

lowes or home depot will cut a NONtransponder key for you for a few bucks.
