Default Brake Problem

Aloha,

I hope someone can help with a problem on my 99 Silverado 5.3 2WD 116,000 MI
When I brake the truck has a hard vibration, light hopping feel in the floorboard and steering wheel, feels like it‘s from the front end. The truck brakes/drives straight as an arrow no pull left or right at anytime I turned the rotors and put premium pads on (all 4) replaced brake fluid rotated the tires and still have the problem. The truck has new tires and shocks X4. Not sure if it’s a caliper, rack and pinion or? (calipers bleed fine no obstruction in the lines x4) All ball joints look fine.

Thanks

It sounds like your rotors may be bad.
You can take the truck to a les schwab or some place that does free inspections
And they will be able to tell you whether or not your rotors are bad, or whatever the
Problem may be. But front end pulsating and vibrating while braking is normally
A classic sign you need new rotors.
If you do a lot of heavy braking I would go with slotted rotors. But just for normal use
A non-slotted rotor should be sufficient.

Default brake problem

Classic anti lock brake problem probably not a DIY project.

Been talking with friends and most of them say it sounds like the rotors. I'll replace the rotors and see? Thanks for the contribution

If it were the rotors dont you think turning them would have helped for a while? Ill bet you notice this more at lower speeds??
