Default Break Squeal

i had the rotors turned and new pads about 3000 miles ago..but now i get this loud squeal.. not the "chevy squeak" but asqueal like the break pads were worn down to the squeakers. i took everything back apart and checked the pads and rotors but everything seemed fine.. i bought duralast pads... they werent to expensive.. could it be a sh*tty pad or what?

depending on how much metalic content there is in the pad's they can squeal ,alos did you have a bi-rotational surface put on the rotor's when they were turned ,to help break in the pads ?some ceramic pad's make noise also, look to see if the rotor's look glazed .good luck

Exactly what old dog said....also might try driving like an a-hole one day....drive 'er hard and be hard on the brakes to wear them in

I had rotors turned and new pads installed on my 2500 series chevy pickup. Told mechanic to put the on the best padthat he could get.

He told me I did not want the best, longest lasting pad as they were so hard they would squeal and I would not be happy. So he put on a mid grade pad, they have worked well with no noise.
