Default Broken Clock Spring 06 Silverado

I believe I may have accidentally broken my clockspring while replacing the intermediate steering linkage. After I disconnected the linkage, I noticed the steering wheel was free to spin, so I gave it a whirl. After about three rotations, it dawned on me that may not be a good idea. Once I put everything back together, I noticed the remote radio control buttons no longer work, the airbag light and message are on, and the milage/settings buttons work about 50% of the time. My guess is that I messed up the clock spring. Anyone able to offer better diagnosis? The horn still works, btw. Appreciate any help before I start tearing into replacing the clock spring.
