Default Speedo and Tach problems
1998 Chevy K1500, Cheyenne, Auto, 305ci, 4x4. 224K, speedo and tachometer went out today. does not have shift pattern. starts out of 3 or 4th in "D". Only allows manual shift. problem intermittent.
Request Help! is there other threads addressing problem?

It was the key ignition switch. replaced the whole steering column as it was more cost effective than buying the guts to the column. Working ok now.
