Hey everyone, i had a problem today with my silverado, the darn thins quit on me, i pulled the hood and there was fuel leaking from everywhere i could imagine, and i could hear a sizzling in the carb, it was like the floats hung up on it. Can someone tell me if they have had this before?? Thanks

 

Chances are you have bad carb. mine was like once 2. my friend works on carbs and tuned it.You can find someone to due the same but mayeventually have to by a new one. I hope this was usefully, Im not "mechanically" smart I just knw bits and pieces.

 

if it is leaking fuel then it prolly has a vacuum leak in a seal as well, this will create havoc with most carbs, I am fighting the same thing on my jeep right now, have replaced it with a weber, and is getting better...the chev carbs are much easier to dial in and work on tho...the hard parts s finding someone to work on them....even the techs in my dealership said no way
