clunking in front left wheel

Default clunking in front left wheel

i have a clunking when i go over a pot hole and riding in a field its coming from front left wheel i have leveling kit on truck i have longer shocks to.. could it be bushings?

ball joint? a arm bushing? does it make noise when turning? Jack front of truck up see if there is play in the tire if there is look at your ball joint if there is movement thats the source. try greasing them first before u replace it

Well I have pumped Greese into the top & bottom ball joins & it may be an a-arm. Bushing how can I check I have jacked it up it's tight

no play in the wheel at all on both sides with hands at 6 oclock and 12 o clock? look at your a arm bushings all good?

So I can see my bushings when I do the 6 & 12 just like checking ball joints

no thats just for your ball joints. look at your a arm bushing when mine went bad you could see it was dry rotted. also shake the truck and try to locate the noise when my a arm bushing went out you could here it

I would suspect that with the leveling kit installed you are hitting the bump stops that limit the downward motion, back off on the torsion bars a bit.

i cut the bump tops off because they would hit if i did go over a bump but this issue just started im pretty sure its a bushing.. never have replaced one before.. pretty hard?

I had the exact same problem and it was the upper mounting bolt that was loose on the shock absorber. I checked everything but that, then took it to the shop, boy did I feel stupid when they told me what it was.
