Cluster doesnt work truck bogs :(
i have a 2000 silverado and when i turn on the truck the cluster does not come on the gas gauge reads empty and none of the other gauges read and the gear selector doesnt light up and my rpm or speedomter dont work and when i try to run the truck like this it bogs really bad has no power what so ever when i try to floor it and when i turn the truck just moves really sluggish but only sometimes everything works fine and the truck goes back to normal they tell me it might be a short in the igniton switch i really dont know please help

Welcome to the forum. No, not "a short in the igniton switch," maybe a worn-out ignition switch. But, the only thing for sure is an electrical problem causing the PCM to go into limp mode. It could be anything and thus consider a visit to the service department.
