Default Cruise Control

I just purchased a 2007 Chevy truck, new body style, Vin # 1GCEC19J37E552538, it does not have cruise control and I'm wondering if the factory cruise can be added. If so, what parts do I need?

Thanks in advance,
John

i believe that is a negative. i think i read somewher gm has basically told dealers that they will no longer support factory upgrades to the newer vehicles.

you could try though

I don't care if the dealer can do it, I just need to know if I can add the correct parts and have it work.

If he was super rich, he could buy GM or bail them out lol and I bet they would do it for sure. Or not be be extreme...he could buy another truck with it already installed [sm=shades.gif]

I have about the same question. Just purchased a 2007 chevy silverado 1500 V6 4.3L W/T with the old body style. Wanted to know if I could add cruise control and what kit might be the best to use?? Difficulty level?Should I have it installed for me? What might it all cost$$$
Thanx for any advise!

Also, OEM upgrade cruise is an option now. We have been doing it for over 6 months. Local dealers have the capability to program them now, they just dont know it. We have done over 20 of them including the programming of the BCM.

yea, Techline has recenly changed their mind and is now allowing dealers to reprogram the BCM to allow cruise to be added. You do need to pay for the software though as it is not just an option you turn on or off
