Default Disable auto lights?

I have a '04 year model and put some HID's on the low beamsand have heard it's not good for the balast's to be on and them off quicklyand I don't like driving with the driving lights on so I always turn the **** down to turn them off. Is there a way to disable them all together? I hate to do this everytime I get in, I sometimes stop at 5 to 10 places a day. I tried the push the dome over ride switch 4 times but it didn't work. I think that was for the late '90's models anyways.

Nope the manual is a basic over veiw of the truck. I know that stuff. It didn't tell me how to reprogram my key fobs like they said it did.

I was just about to post the exact same question, except I have a 2007 new body style. Im having the same problem. Theres nothing in the manual the says anything about disabling the DRL's or a fuse for them. Nothing in the fuse panel indicating DRL's either. Ive seen a post on here before awhile back but I cant find it. Anybody have any suggestions. Any help for me or Texasccr would be greatly appreciated!!

You are right it was on here & it seems like the DTRL are the low beams & they run on a lower voltage when it's daytime or something like that.

You guys might want ti try this page:

http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f62/ah...ow-to-s-34645/

the second part talks about resistors. I tried it and it never worked. The resistors weren't strong enough. However, getting to the light sensor in your dash is a whole other story. I "dremel-ed" mine out. It was either that or take apart the ENTIRE dash to get to it.

I'll repost with the size of the resistors when I get a chance.
