Default Factory 20" rims

Hi all, i am new to the forum.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 with factory 20" rims. I am having some issues with the tires not holding air. I took it to a tire shop and once they removed the tires from the rims, they found that every rim was corroding really bad on the inside edge causing the tires to lose air. Has anyone else had issues with factory rims corroding really bad? Is there anything i can put on the rims to stop them from corroding? Are the rims covered under warranty? Thanks everyone for your assistance!

Any chrome rim will eventually do it. How fast depends on how much moisture has been in the air used to inflate the tire. You can remove the tires and sand the rims (beads) it will help for a while. If you have them filled with nitrogen there will be no moisture.
