well guys i been searching for warning tones, reminder tones, reminder bells, heck i don't even know what to call my problem. i have a 2006 silverado crew cab, bone stock. when i leave my keys in the ignition and pen the door, unbuckle my seat belt while driving, turn headlights on without the truck running i don't get the beeping tones to reminde you. like i said my truck is stock, factory radio and all, aybody have any ideas whats going on?

 

I have a 98 silverado with the same problem, but I figure that's because the guy before me installed a new head unit. Someone told me it's probably just the chime box. See if searching that doesn't pull up anything. If you do find something out let me know, I would like to fix mine too.

 

i did a search using "door chime" like you put it and i got a few reports where it was the driver door speaker thats bad. i'm gonig to try to swap the speakers from door to door up front and see whats happens

 

aftermarket radio negates this feature

 

the 98 I believe still uses a chime box, someone took the one out of the wifes Burb

 

still have the factory radio, truck is bone stock
