Forward Brake Cable help, Please.
Hello all,
I do a good amount of towing with my truck and use my hand/emergency/parking brake frequently. I've already busted the front brake cable twice and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
The cable that I previously replaced it with was from AutoZone and for the most part work good. The problem is the attachment at the foot pedal (the top of the cable) has a cylindrical pressed on "lead" attachment. Needless to say its a soft metal and that is where it breaks when it finally goes. (The end of the steel cable separates from the lead attachment.) Is there a heavy duty brake cable with all steel components (including the end part) that will take my abuse and hold up for years to come?
Thanks in advance, Ed
