I had my 1999 chevy silverado 1500 running on my break at work and it started to vibrate a lil bit so i shut it off and tried to restart and it wouldnt fire, would turn over but wouldnt start. i added gas thinking i was empty and tried again and nothing. I do not hear fuel pump priming. is my fuel pump bad or could it be a ground on the fuel pump?

 

I would say its probably the fuel pump, I have never heard of having a problem with the ground on the fuel pump or electrical issues really. How many miles on the truck?

 

Approximately 165000. Never had an issue like this before since I owned the truck in 2011

 

id be checking fuel pressure...when was the filter changed last?? sounds like the pump gave up
