When I purchased my 87 Chevy Silverado long bed I was told the main tank (left side of bed) didnt work and they were unsure why. Well after I changed the fuel filter it magically started working. I filled the main tank up but the gas guage only read 1/4 full. When the main tank read just above empty is when I filled it up, but it only took 10 gal, which cant be the size of the tank right? I was thinking that maybe the float was stuck???? Any suggestions? I know it is not that big of a deal but if it is an easy inexpensive fix I will take care of it.
