Default GM's delivery problems are significant

I finally drove off with my new 2006 Silverado 3500 CC DRW 4x4 w/ Duramax. It was the most frustrating and insulting purchase / delivery experience that anyone could have imagined. I ordered this Silverado on 10/13/05! Yes, FOUR months ago. I heard every excuse that GM could come up with and just short of "the dog ate it".

Yet GM fails to recognize their problem and make restitution to a loyal Chevy customer. I have owned (6) different Chevy vehicles in the last 12 years and their offer of 1 year of oil changes as compensation for this unacceptable and lengthy delay falls significantly short of the respectful mark.

Mind you, this is NOT the vehilce of choice today due to fuel costs, but you would think that I custom ordered a "hard to get" vehicle.
GM has bigger problems than the public is aware of.

I followed through with my purchase because of the dedication and respect the Dealer showed to me (and I wanted it). Additionally, I didn't want to create any problems for them even though they kept the cancelation option open for me. They couldn't understand nor believe what garbage I was putting up with. Besides I want and need to put the "hurt" on GM not my Dealer.

Offering oil changes...come on your killing me again.[>:]

Anyone else heard of such poor customer service from GM? Let's get the word out and get GM to look in the mirror.
