Having hard time starting truck
I recently just bought a 97 chevy ext cab 4x4 with a 5.7 vortect with 125k miles and was running great for a week and now when i go to turn the key to start it turns over but just not wanting to start,I put whole new spark plugs in and changed the fuel filter ( which was dirty inside ) and still doing the same thing. Now people are telling me that it could be a fuel pump so I looked online and see how to tell if the pump is workn and they said you will hear a buzzing sound for a second (which I do from the pump) when u turn the key and the other ways are to open the filler cap and listen for the pump which i hear as well.fuses/relays look good also.So im thinking its the starter/fuel pump going out on me.when I bought the truck it did came with a autostart key remote to start the truck from a distance which has problems startn so thinkn that could be the cause of it? any help would be greatly appreciated!
