Help! 1999 Silverado 1500 No crank No start
Hey if someone could help me figure out my starting issue. I lost the key to my pickup but I thought I had the spare key so I tried it. Since it wasn't used very often plus was a copy I thought it just needed a little wiggle and played with it but no amount of wiggling would get the steering wheel to unlock so I could start the pickup. Fast forward to I found the keys! Yay well I got the steering wheel to unlock but when I tried to start it it would just click once and all the lights and door dinger would come on but no crank if I have the battery charger on while trying to start it I get a horrific buzzing noise from the engine compartment
fuse box and the cab fuses. I have bought a new ignition. Lock cylinder with new keys and tried almost almost every relearn key process on the internet. Nothing just a new buzzing noise I spoke of a min ago. The reason I did the who key thing was because the old one was worn and it was sticking every time i tried to turn the key since before i lost it. I had planned to replace it then lost the key which was necessary to remove the cylinder. Could this be more than just the immobilizer shutting me down? Is there a way to tell if the immobilizer is the cause or another issue altogether? Just incase this info is pertinent it is a 1999 yes but it was manufactured in Canada in Aug of 1998. Idk if that made a difference or not. Thank in advance for any help!!
