I have a 2003 2500HD Silverado, 6.6L Duramax, Allison. My cruise is not working. It is killing me not having it for Holiday trips. I have replaced the brake switch, cleaned the ground at the ABS module, brake lights work, third brake light works, replaced 10 amp fuse, checked out the cruise switch on the multifunction lever, looked for broken wires, I can't find it any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Reset the battery, I have to do that to my 07 occasionally fro the cruise control.

 

If you mean disconnect/reconnect the batteries[2 on a diesel] I have done that 3 or 4 times.

 

That's what I meant. I don't know why mine keeps doing it though. Sorry I can't be of more assistance. You may have to change something called the Cruise Control Module.

 

This my help, I've heard if something is up with the ABS, it won't let the cruise work. Have you scanned for codes?

 

I don't get any DTC's. The ABS lights don't come on. If the ground at the abs module is not good it will screw up the cruise. I checked and redid the ground.
