Default Horse power and torque specs for 88 5.7

Hi All, I want to add posi to my truck, and in addition change the gear ratio of my 2wd. I need to find the rpm's for the horsepower and torque ratings for my 5.7. Thanks for any help.

Thanks everyone. I may have asked a poorly worded question. I need to know the horsepower and torque ratings at what rpm for each. 210 hp @ ?rpm. ft.lbs @ ?rpm.

I am going to put a posi unit in my truck because the wheel spin on wet pavement. If I knew the torque and HP rpm ranges....I may change from a 3.42 to maybe a 2.73 rear gear while it's apart.

1988,

I have a 2500 series, 2000 model with 350 engine.

it has 255 hp and 330 pds of torque.

I have the 3.73 differential and it will pull a fair load, I believe its rated for 7100 lbs.

If you go to a 2.73 ratio with the older 350 engine you will not have much power.

in a old truck, in order to pull you need torque, that is why so many who can afford it are going to the diesel engines.

I have the same problem, only one wheel on my differential will pull at one time and if someone in the next county spits on the road I will get stuck.
