Default How do I know if my truck has limited slip/open differential?

How do I know if my truck has limited slip locking differential or open differential where 1 wheel gets all the power?
I mean how do I know if BOTH my rear tires are the drive tires vs. just my right tire?

do some burnouts and see if both are spinning?
Or is there an easier way line an RPO code?

Hey Mille Racer 69,

How ya doing today?

Some additional RPO codes which will help you determine your gear ratio:

GU5-----------323 ratio--

GU6------------342 ratio---

GT4------------373 ratio---

GT5--------------410 ratio--

if your 2500 series chevy truck will not pull a grease string out of a cats butt when the ground is wet, then you have open differential like mine.

old truck pulls great on blacktop, but get it off the pavement and if someone spits in the next county i will be stuck.

be sure to get the G80 option, worth every dime of cost.

G80 is known as a Grenade80. They start out great, but you will blow it up eventually, and they wear out. I'm thinking bout a locker for mine.
