a buddy of mine is giving me his programmer ($50) , he said that its unlocked cause he put the truck he used it onback it its original settings before he sold it and unlocked it, but if its not unlocked what would i do.. will hypertech reset it for me or am i just SOL??

 

i think i had to put in my truck vin when i hooked up myhypertech but it has been a while so i might be wrong. ask him if he still has the instructions and it should tell you. 50 is a good deal if you can use it i paid over 300.

 

yeah, it worked.. its insane the power i feel in my truck, now im looking for that gas mileage gain too... yeah he "aquired" it through a "friend" that works at an auto parts store here so he payed next to nothin for it

but i do have another question about it... a friend got a hypertech 3 and was asking me what he should put his settings to.. rev limiter and transmission shift points... maybeyall can help me and him out with that cause im thinkin about changing mine up too...
