i just put in a stage 2 JET performance chip in my91 chevy silverado but once i did my idol went up to around 800rpm's but im getting great performance from the pickup now is this suposed to happen?

 

Yes, naturally that happens. You have to reset your trucks idol when you have engine upgrades that cause higher idoling. You may have to take it to a mechanic shop to have them take care of the high idol if you can't do it yourself.
