I just purchased a 99' ext cab, step side, z71 and I didn't think it had keyless entry. Well I did a VIN look up off of one of the links from a member here and it lists keyless entry. Anyways if I buy a keyless entry from ebay or amazon for a 99' silverado can I program it or does the dealer have to?

 

if you buy a factory remote to use with factory system, you can program it. takes a couple minutes. really easy. the remote should come with instructions. just make sure you get the right remote.
