ok, so the device i am talking about is the power steering gear box. i got one of those haynes repair manuals so it can guide me threw removal and instalation. just how hard is it to actually replace the box? also i gotta get new tires, so i probably wanna get the new tires first, then replace the gearbox, then do the alignment, right?

yea i would also check the rest of the steering components while you are at it the gear box isnt too hard to change its just gettin the pitman arm off but if you rent the tool its not too bad
