Default A little disapointed/suggestions welcome

I've got a fully loaded 08 LTZ ext cab Silverado with 48K miles that I paid over 42K and is displaying quality issues. Dash cracked above the passenger airbag, chrome flaking off on exit handles, paint coming off of drivers side entry handle, paint chipping off steering wheel and instrument panel (ac button, ac +/- buttons), driver side door lock actuator bad. Have already had the passenger side door actuator lock replaced, rear tail light replaced due to moisture, both driver and passenger side widow channels replaced due to squeeking all under warranty. Took the truck to the dealer today for an oil change/tire rotation and asked about the issues. Was told truck warranty expired at 3/36K and fixes would cost in excess of $3500. Am I the only one with these problems or has an issue paying good money for a vehicle that displays early quality problems with no help from the dealer? I do like this truck and my wife Equinox but a little disappointed in Chevy right now. Any suggestions/comments welcome.

You won't get any better luck with the other brands.
They are all cheapening things to stay competitive.
Chevy is still easiest to get parts for, will last longer
And gets best MPG.

Only a little disappointed?!?!?? That is an incredible amount of problems for a 4-year old vehicle. It is well beyond the warranty period so probably not any help from GM. I have never seen chrome come off of door handles.

Maybe try lemon law.
I do hvac and know that the occasional units are lemons.
Same for cars of coarse.

I have a 2008 2500 hd. A strip of paint come off a couple days ago at the car wash, brushless.

Truck has 56xxx miles and the dealer said they couldn't help me. And I quote, "truck is 4 years old and has 50+ thousand miles on it."

I guess the paint is only expected to last 4 years.
