Default Need help!! Rear Diff probs

My 2000 Silverado recently had a new rear end put in, A Dana 3.53 ratio I believe. It makes a slight whining noise now, every now and then I get occasional pop but not sure if its the diff. How can I tell If there's a problem, cheap? Possibly without taking apart again?? It's my first truck and j just got it from my dad. It originally had the GM rear end.

If it's makin noise then it wasn't set up right. There shouldn't be any noise if they were setup right. The poppin could come from u-joints.

That's what I was thinking it could have been. Having it checked out possibly tomorrow will keep you updated.
