Default Need tire suggestions

Hi, I bought a used 1991 Silverado k1500 4x4. The tires are worn P265/75 R16 114S. I'd like to replace them with a set of LT tires. Which LT tire sizes can I use without changing rims?

Thanks

I think you need to worry more about the clearance of the fender wells if you go any bigger than the 265/75 and not the size of the rim on that year of truck, you may be able to squeeze a 285/75 in there but the tread can't be real deep. On a 97 I had I put 265 /75/16 Buckshot Maxxis Mudders on them and only had about an inch to two inches of clearance when the wheels were fully turned in the stock fender wells.

You should have no trouble with BFG ATs 285/75/16, they aren't cheap but you'll get 45-50k on them if you rotate them often.

I'd stay with the 265/75/16 and get the general grabber AT2 tires from tirerack.com
