Question noise on my silverado when turning steering wheel

I get like a humming noise when i turn my sterring wheel been happening for a while. 03 chevy silverado reg cab arival blue. lmk soultion if anyone ever had this problem and has fixed. Thank you

well idk what type of noise your hearing but on my dads 03 his makes a noise but its the sound of the power steering pump when turning sharp or when useing the breaks and turning hard sence gm uses a master cylander
im not sure if its the same for you but this may be it

Cpb200 and 1994medtec both offer great suggestions. The steering gear is also a possibility. You may want to consider taking the vehicle in for an inspection. A certified technician should be able to offer a more accurate diagnosis.
