i have a 03 silverado with the message center in the dash tell "low fuel level and all that and i just changed my oil and i was needin to kno how to get the "change engine oil" message to stop showin up when i turn my truck on my truck dont have the little buttons on the column it just has the trip reset stick how do i get this to stop showin up....thanks for ur help...

 

PM ZX. I am not sure if it came for done the old way by using the ignition and gas pedal to reset. But ZX will know for sure.

 

You have to turn the ignition switch to the on position (not started) then you push the gas pedal to the floor, I believe it is two times. Then the display will tell you that the oil monitor has been reset.

 

should be 3 times.. either way the oil life will reset and i think it blinks at you... either that or it automatically toggles to the oil life and shows it at 100% I'm pretty sure that works for up to the '06 models... i'm not sure about '07 and up, i didn't work on those much
