Talking Overheating dash buttons ??

Just parked my new 2010 Silverado 1500 in the garage after driving it off the showroom floor...NICE TRUCK!!!
I let go of my 2000 Tacoma and finally decided it was time to enter the world of real truck owners

The dealer I got it from was 100+ miles from my house, so I got some QT with the truck. One thing I noticed was that the majority of the dashboard control buttons got VERY HOT. Especially the electronic 4wheel drive selector **** and the climate control buttons. They were almost scalding to the touch. But really all of the lighted dash buttons were quite hot.

Is this normal?? I've never run into this issue with any previous car or truck that I've owned or been a passenger in. Any other Silverado owners that can chime in on this?

Thanks!!

First off, congrats on getting rid of the toyota for a real truck!

I have had some dash buttons get almost burning hot before, but it's never actually caused any problems. I always figured that's just how it was and there was nothing I could do about it. I wouldn't worry about it. You just can't hold your hand on some of the buttons is all
