Default Question about my truck and tires that might fit it. need help immediately!

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 ext. cab 4WD 6.0L V8 Vortec. Im about to buy new tires for it, and the tires I have on it now are 285/75/16's. My question is, will BF Goodrich All terrains 305/70/16's fit my truck? Im asking because there looks like there isn't much clearance between the back tires and some frame part. Please help! Thanks!

I'd be more worried about the front tires rubbing then the back.

I think you will be fine maybe have to crank the torsion bars alittle. OR you might have to do a little trimming but i dont think it would be much.

I'd suggest trying to run 285s until you get a lift. The back I wouldnt worry bout rubbing unless the truck will be flexing a lot. the front will rub with 305s, you may have to do trimming or crank the torsion bars like 992door said.

295s are taller and wider than the 285's but the 295's are taller than the 305 but the 305 is wider
