2007 extended cab v6, 76000

When I turn on the truck (not starting it).and when I turn the truck off I hear a rattle sound. The timing of the sound seems to be synched with the fuel guage moving when started and turned off. No rattling sound while engine is on.

I had to give it a quart of oil the other day because it was running low.

Any idea or suggestion appreciated.
