is your truck a 4wd? a 350? if so, i'd probably quit driving it. normal gas mileage for that truck should be about 14-16 mpg. if your mileage is worse than that, you might need a tune up.

hello,
its a 2wd 350 fresh rebuilt engine tune up is done. i dont know what it could be. O2 sensors? no check engine light it runs good no misfire so i dont know. i use it to work and back which is 12 blocks away from my house. it will be in say 3/4 full it will be in the halfway to the half tank and 3/4 tank. so i dont think that is normal.

When you say bad mileage - how bad is it? The most accurate way is by hand calculation.

My 99 Excab gets almost 19 MPG. It is a 5.7 Vortec. I hope your not hoping for much more than that!
