Default Reseting Oil Life

Planning on flushing all fluids this weekend and was wondering how to reset the Oil Life %? Also at what miles do they suggest flushing the Coolant system?

well i can answer one of two questions lol. to reset the oil life obviously do normal oil change. after you put the new oil in. get in your truck turn the key to the on position and floor the gas pedal three times within 10 seconds and on your dic a message saying oil life reset should show up if it doesnt show up the first time keep trying. as for changing the coolant. check the mileage intervals in the owners manual. i heard every 2 years to do it. good luck

Thanks Man. I will have to look it up online. I dont have the owners manual. I heard 5 years for that orange coolant which I have but have also heard it is bad for the engine to use the orange stuff.

I'm going 6+ years with my coolant, and it's still clear as a bell, bright red. Maybe I'm just lucky.

What's the year and mileage of the vehicle you're working on?

If it were me I'd be thinking of a transmission filter change, instead of the coolant.
