do you think if you get a ext cab your not as safe if you get side crash (T boned) than if you had a crew cab?

Default RE: Safety on a T bone (side crash) crash

I am not an engineer, so this is purely my opinion. My answer is the crew cab has a permanently installed pillar between the front and rear seats, so I think its more likely to keep another vehicle from penetrating into your vehicle as far than that of a truck with extended cab doors. I am not saying I would not drive an extended cab, but I feel the crew is going to hold up better.
