Default Seatbelt Chime

Im all up on wearing my seatbelt, but a buddy that rides in my truck alot is hell bent on not wearing it. Whatever floats his boat, he is a grown up so i dont give a damn! my question is, is there a way on an 08 silverado to turn that chime off before it drives me crazy?

After you bypass the freaking seatbelt (of all things). Be sure & turn off passenger airbag. 08 1/2 tons have the PPS & you cant turn it off, unless you pull the fuse making it unsafe for everyone. Extended cab 3/4 & 1 tons do have a switch. Crew cab 3/4 & 1 tons P-side airbag is always on.
